These days, the tone between the G7 countries and China is intensifying. At a meeting of the G7 foreign ministers in London, they declared that they want to work more closely together to curb China’s growing influence in the world.
And in the wake of this, on the ratification of CAI, a major EU-China investment pact, the EU Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis told AFP that political outreach activities from the European Commission have been suspended due to the current strained relations. He made clear that the ratification will depend on how broader EU-China relations will evolve.
