Albrecht SONNTAG
Professor of European Studies - ESSCA
Between 2012 and 2015, I had the honour (and the immense pleasure) to coordinate a transnational, interdisciplinary research project named « Football Research in an Enlarged Europe » (FREE), which was supported by the 7th European Framework Programme for Research with a grant of 2.4 million. FREE brought together nine European universities and organised eight conferences in different cities across the continent. For more information about the project, visit the pages of the EU*Asia Institute.
The FREE project also ran its own blog, on which I published regular research-informed posts on various issues of European football. Below you can find a selection. Just click on the title in order to access the posts.
