Tamas Matura on Hungarian Television.
Tamas Matura, assistant professor at ESSCA Budapest, is increasingly asked to provide expertise on contemporary China and its complex relations with other regions of the world.
While the photo shows him on MTV1, the first Hungarian Television Channel, who interviewed him on the Budapest campus on the development on US-China relations, he has also participated in a series of high-level events over recent weeks.

Tamas was invited to the second round of this Europe-China round table organised by Friends of Europe and the China Public Diplomacy Association. Following up on the first event, which had been held in Brussels in 2013, invited researchers and experts continued their joint efforts to promote bilateral understanding between Europe and China. Sessions covered a broad range of topics from the new impetus for development to urbanisation strategies, the New Silk Road project and to people to people contacts. Tamas gave a speech on potential tangible measures and results of people to people cooperation.
European Think Tank Network on China (ETNC), 5 November 2014, Brussels.
The French Institute of International Affairs (IFRI) and the Elcano Royal Institute of International Affairs (on the initiative of Miguel Otero Iglesias) organised the first inaugural meeting of this newly established European Think Tank Network on China (ETNC) in Brussels on 5 November 2014. Hungary was represented by Tamas, who provided a brief overview of Sino-Hungarian and relations between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The ETNC is a promising initiative since the organisers were able to invite experts from all over Europe. An agreement was also reached to hold a second round of discussion in Madrid in 2015.
China-CEE Seminar, 15-22 November 2014, Beijing PR China.
Organised by the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China an international seminar took place in Beijing with delegations from Hungary, the Czech Republic, Serbia and Romania. Tamas was invited as head of the delegation. Through the one-week long programme, European delegates had the chance to conduct consultations with their Chinese counterparts on the recent development of China, the rule of law and the New Silk Road project.
With the influence of China increasing across the planet, Tamas is not likely to run out of work for the years to come!
