The current events in Catalonia are, of course, a highly emotional topic for many Spanish citizens. And a minefield for political analysts: whatever you write about it, you may be sure to be misunderstood, or worse. Our friend Miguel Otero Iglesias, associate researcher at the EU-Asia Institute and former ESSCA professor, is both a Spanish citizen and a political analyst at the Royal Elcano Institute in Madrid.
